Wallace-Seymour Soft pastels have a high proportion of pigment and are therefore a brighter type of pastel. The colour achieved with the finished painting or sketch is closer to the dry pigment than that of any other painting process, which is really appealing for artists whose need is exact replication of colour, like in landscape plein-air perhaps. The pastels can be used wet or dry.
